* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Murl Allen Sanders "In Concert" Sunday, October 03, 2010 The Rose City Accordion Club is bringing renowned accordionist, pianist, composer and recording artist Murl Allen Sanders (pictured above) to Oregon. Murl’s repertoire includes pop, rock, zydeco, country, jazz, blues and various ethnic styles.
Time and location of the concert will be published in future RCAC newsletters and on this Website. Mark the date October 03 on your calendar and plan to attend the concert - you won’t be disappointed. Rose City Accordion Club Scholarships "Student Accordion Scholarship" The scholarship is open to any accordion student 18 years of age and younger residing in Oregon or Washington (note: any person who previously received a scholarship from our club in the preceding 18 months is ineligible to apply for this scholarship). Applicants must currently be taking instruction from a recognized accordion instructor. Application deadline is October 01, 2010. Applicants will be judged on accomplishments to date, potential for future progress and enthusiasm for playing the accordion. Teacher recommendation will also play prominently in the selection process. The scholarship will be awarded as follows: 1st - $500 / 2nd - $250 / 3rd - $100 Mail completed application to:

"Adult Accordion Scholarship"
We are funding a unique adult accordion scholarship: “A seat at the 2011 RCAC Accordion Camp to be held June 5 - 10, 2011 at the Conference Center at Silver Falls State Park in Oregon.” Accommodation, meals & tuition paid for by the Rose City Accordion Club (estimated value over $500). This scholarship is available to adult accordionists (18 years of age and above) only. Application deadline: September 01, 2010
